The Odd Job Man
I began my working life as a laborer, moved on to be a steel fixer, then a scaffolder. After art school, I became an apprentice blacksmith learning the beauty of iron and the discipline of
hard work.
I've
been a park ranger, nationally syndicated columnist, Jaguar mechanic, author, painter, photographer, bicycle racer (still doing that), computer
consultant, and Web designer (who hasn't?)....
Along the way,
I've always restored and built structures.
I started with an English stone cottage built in 1550 - and haven't looked back.
I enjoy fixing things. Doesn't matter if
I'm replacing a single broken tile in a 1500 square foot floor
or moving an electrical outlet three inches to the left. If it's
broken I can mend it, if it's not quite right it will be, if it
makes funny noises I will soothe it.
